Terms of Use
In short: Ahead is free to use for your own planning. Your data stays on your device, so keeping it backed up is up to you. The app is provided as-is.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using the Ahead app (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute the app, or misuse it in a way that breaks the law or the rules of the store you got it from.
3. Your content and backups
What you write in Ahead is yours. It's stored only on your device — we never receive it, so we can't recover it for you. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or losing or resetting your device can permanently delete it. You're responsible for keeping your own backups, for example with the app's Export data option.
4. Reminders
Reminders are scheduled by your device's operating system. Their timing can be affected by battery-saving modes, system settings, permissions you grant, or device restarts. Please don't rely on Ahead as the only reminder for anything critical — such as medication, safety, legal or financial deadlines.
5. Price and support
The app is currently free. Optional tips through third-party services such as Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary, don't unlock features, and are handled under that service's own terms. If paid features are offered in the future, their price and terms will be shown clearly before you buy, and purchases will be processed by the app store under its terms.
6. Changes to the app
We may update, change, or stop offering the app or any feature at any time. We'll try to give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation, to the extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, missed reminders, or missed appointments arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
